Music and Nightlife | McCartney wings through Motown Museum on Detroit tour stop | The Detroit News

When Brian and I attended a Detroit Tigers game against the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park on July 16, they were still promoting Paul McCartney’s concert the following weekend.  Oh how I wish I could have been there!  This past week I kept hearing wonderful reviews of the concert on the radio.  Paul McCartney even took the time to visit the Motown Museum.

If there is one artist I’d love to see in concert in my lifetime, it would be Paul McCartney.  Considering that Comerica Park is a great venue and I love almost all of the Motown music, some of which Beatles recorded early in their career (i.e. “Mr. Postman,” “Money,” etc.), attending that concert last weekend would’ve been even better.

Every time I think I tire of the Beatles music, and a lot of the 60s and 70s music in general, I keep discovering songs and sometimes entire albums that I forgot about.  It is truly timeless.  I only hope that there is another such creative era in music and art in my lifetime.
