Hard to believe, but I've entered year eight of being a language tutor. First I taught Spanish and French to adults in London; now I teach Spanish, French and English in Brussels, in my little town nearby and worldwide via Skype (if "worldwide" can be defined as, basically, Brussels and London, with the potential for everywhere else).
I like to think that I've grown and learned about being a good teacher in that time, and about what works and what doesn't for language learning.
Words With Friends - and Scrabble - in Spanish! YES.
Actually this is a very insightful post, and helpful. I'd love to teach at some level. And yet, I find myself more interested in remaining a student. I still want to learn Portuguese and Italian. Of course, I can't forget my first love, Spanish. I've forgotten way too much at this point.
