The Bucket List

I’ve always loved the idea of a bucket list, so here it goes.  Please note this is the result of many years of dreaming.  I will count myself lucky if I have the opportunity to experience even a few items on this list.  I am truly brainstorming here.  What is on your bucket list?

  • Buy an older home and fill it with antiques from a driving excursion to Tomball, Texas
  • Adopt
  • Start a writing group in Bay City
  • Raise a Golden Retriever and a Siberian Husky
  • Sea kayak
  • Education
    • Study Portuguese
    • Study Italian
    • Earn graduate degree
    • Earn PhD
    • Become CPIM
    • Study project management
  • Learn to quilt well
  • Learn to paint well
  • Start a Friends of the Library group for the Omer Library
  • Go whitewater rafting again, preferably abroad
  • Become a published author
  • Help my Mom publish her series of children’s books
  • Become a noted blogger
  • Start my own business
  • Archive as much family history as possible for the next generation
  • Watch Brian participate in the Richard Petty driving experience
  • Meet Paul McCartney
  • Meet and have an in-depth conversation with Sarah Palin, maybe even interview her
  • Meet Madonna
  • Research and write a true crime novel
  • Stay at the Stanley Hotel in the Rockies
  • Meet and interview Stephen King
  • Meet Steven Spielberg

    • Return to England, return to London and make an extended trip to Liverpool

    • Return to Spain, finally visit Ibiza and Badajoz, return to Sevilla

    • Ontario, Canada, finally visit my parents’ cabin

    • Nevada (I’d love to see Vegas just once!)
